SINGLE PIECE SHIRT

Made this shirt today. It's cut from a single piece of fabric, having only side seams. Nice and easy. There is no front or back - you can wear it either way.
You can also wear it inside out, which I quite like - that way you only see a little pattern at the edges.This is a really lightweight cotton gauze. I've mostly been painting on canvas and heavy materials, so this was my experiment as to how the paints will do on lighter weight fabrics. Held up pretty damn well, so more of these to come!

JEANS BELT

A belt buckle that says "jeans" to wear with...jeans? Um, amazing?
I thrifted this buckle in Virginia and it's about to become my new favorite belt in like 2.5 seconds.

PLANNER

This is my planner that I made and love like an old leather jacket. It's filled with all sorts of stuff, like quick notes, sketches of things i want to make, silly doodles, hot dudes phone numbers, you know.If I ever loose it, I'll be totally screwed. Please stay with me.

Found this amazing print by James at Die Neue Modern:It made me think of one of my favorite shirts (MM6) - a wife beater with a print of wife beaters on it. Kind of genius, right? Margiela also has jeans with a jeans print.
How crazy would it be to make jeans with the neon jeans print? WOW! What do you say, James...collaboration?

CAMERA BAG

I made a bag for my camera out of some of my leftover scraps. I have 2 of the same camera. The one in the bag here is broken because i smashed it when it was being fussy - sorry about that, camera. It was beyond repair anyways:
I've finished 3 big painted totes but am waiting for my hot model friends to let me photograph them together. Cool bags look even better on cool girls.

WEEKEND WORK

Here's what I'm getting into this weekend:
This is where all the magic happens. Lots of cursing, self-inflicted burns, temper tantrums, and bloody fingers. See what I have to go through to make these things for you?
These guys will be done by Monday...***On a side note, I went to Barney's and Neiman Marcus today. Ikat of all sorts is in abundance and pretty much everything is neon, so you may want to get one of these bags if you know what's good for you.

Found some more shirts I made a while back out of curtain sheers. ALIZARIN was my old project, abandoned around 2005. I made so many clothes back then. Seems like a long time ago.
And since everything is black and white today, I love these photos of Louise Brooks because she's such a fox, even when she's pissed...I totally want a black tutu.

Surprise...more cosmetic bags. I swear it's not the only thing I make. They are really just different paint samples that I make into something useful...like a bag! I like to figure out which paint combos and patterns work before i do something big.

I like this Ladder pattern...i think I'll do more, but something else besides little bags. These guys have leather pulls, but you can still wash them. I'm brainstorming a lot of cool leather things right now...

Second, I found some more fruits from the mysterious digital fruit painter. So far, there is an apple (still my favorite), strawberry, and orange. But can I ask you, is there a banana?

ZIPPER-ACTION LEATHER JACKET

I forget who makes this first jacket with the zipper but it's BADASS. Top of my list of things to make soon : NEW LEATHER JACKET. The black one I made a few years ago is hanging on for dear life. Gotta mix up the rotation. Love the red leather. Why not?These are cool too...by Jenni Kayne. She makes awesome leather stuff.
