EAGLE IN ACTION
Eagles. They really are my favorite cars. Especially when I can spy one of my friends sipping a tall boy in the front seat of one with her high school crew. I liked my Volvo station wagon alright, but definitely would have traded for one of these. Old school Eagle photos from Sara....thanks! You maka me jealous...

69
I tagged along on the 69 mile ride, twas a nice day for an outing in the Corolla. Made a stop along the way and the Vintagent kindly let me photograph his Pradas in the parking lot of Thrift Town.
Rainey and the rainbow pants.
Parking lot bar.
The Little Walrus is a bruiser and has the gas tank to prove it.
White Russians for the classy ladies.
Made some raindeer friends on the street, it's getting to be that time of year.
Lots of cool bikes I don't know anything about.
Of course I like the red head. And the gold stripe.
Tony and the tangerine.
Just some kid sharpening and axe blade tied to a stump, no big deal.
Pretty lady friends.
Ken getting the shot.
Fun day for all...

PAPER MOON LOVE
I've been really obsessively into paper moon portraits lately. We'll be making our own paper moon set soon. I especially love the versions where the moon is either really scary looking or positioned precariously with the subject of the photo, such as the top two examples below. Here's some of my favorites.

Flickr has some amazing paper moon photos, including my favorite collection which can be found here.

IDORA PARK
Oakland once had it's own amusement park, complete with a roller coaster and skating rink. Wish it were still here and still looked like this...

ROSE BOWL, A BIT BACK
Been too busy, preoccupied - whatever - to upkeep this stuff, but love my Rose Bowl trips so here was the last one:
Typical - lugging taxidermy and a chair with a Jetta-type thing in the parking lot.
Efty, partner in crime, getting ready. XO!
Leather fringe embroidered pillow covers, quite bitchin.
Pink plastic chandelier, yes please.
Expensive motorcycle poster guys, taking a break from..oh, I don't know, nothing?
Mr. Peanut head, I love you but you're missing your skinny legs on that table which makes me feel weird.
SHADER BLADES for the baby bunny
Mesmerising beanpole and girlfriend
Piles. And piles and piles and piles of stuff.
I like buying stuff off the ground.
Mr Japan, I really loved your pants even though I don't know if you understood what I was trying to tell you. Best fabric ever.

JOJO LIPS
Happy Birthday to my muse, my inspiration for the fantastic JoJo Lips cosmetic bag. Without her, there would be nothing nice for you to put your makeup in! I'm working on getting more colors soon for those who have been asking.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOLYNE!!!

THE AUDIUM
I should have just titled this post "TRIPPY" and left it at that. The Audium is a sound theater consisting of a room that really looks like it belongs in a spaceship filled with hundreds of speakers. You sit in darkness and listen to a multitude of sounds whizzing around you from all different angles. I'm not even going to try and explain it. You just have to see for yourself. I think it's one of San Frncisco's best hidden treasures. Don't forget the doobie.

The masses has spoken and they love lips! Thanks to everyone for your abundant lip bag orders. I'll certainly have bloody fingers making all of this but it's out of love for you, of course.

CHERNOBYL POOL
In the city of Pripyat, Ukraine near Chernobyl. Once a thriving city with 50,000 residents and many modern facilities including a sports center with this indoor swimming pool.
The entire city was evacuated after the nuclear fallout in April 1986. The pool, still full of water, slowly evaporated over the next 20+ years. The pool shown in June 2003.

I try to credit photographers, though many of these images were just pulled from the abyss of random internet photos. Photographers include David McMillan, BR Lappin, Tiblu, and Olli Salo.

TOTTENHAM BATHS
North London. Here is the small pool. The walls are kind of like a crazy quilt.

Main pool. Built in 1904, derelict since 1991. After the pool was drained, a floor was laid and temporarily turned into a dance hall/boxing ring.

Then.
Now
All photos from Mechanised and Paul Wood.

HANDY
I have a new group of things to show that were inspired by my current interest in pools and tile work. I'll be posting images and some styles in the store in the next week. Here's a peak (back view only for now...)
